Club Dead by Charlaine Harris.

Title: Club Dead.
Author: Charlaine Harris.
Genre: Novel, mystery, romance.
Country: U.S.
Language: English.
Publication Date: May, 2003.
Summary: Sookie's vampire boyfriend Bill has been very distant - in another state, distant. Now she's off to Mississippi to mingle with the underworld at Club Dead at Eric's bequest - a little haunt where the vampire elite go to chill out. But when she finally finds Bill — caught in an act of betrayal — she's not sure whether to save him, or sharpen some stakes.

My rating: 7/10

♥ Eric was having downtime. He was in that absolutely immobile state into which vampires retreat when they have nothing else to do. It refreshens them, I think, reduces the wear and tear of the world that ceaselessly passes them by, year after year, full of war and famine and inventions that they must learn how to master, changing mores and conventions and styles that they must adopt in order to fit in.
